Ed received a B.A. degree in English from Mars Hill College, North Carolina, an M.A. degree in English from the University of Tennessee, and an MFA degree in creative writing from San Jose State University. In addition to his award-winning published writings (both for the Yellow Tulip Press and in numerous periodicals), he has taught college-level English and composition and acted as learning center coordinator for the last 20 years at a variety of colleges and universities. He currently teaches at San Jose State University. Ed is also a prolific playwright whose plays have been produced by theater companies throughout California and elsewhere.
